Pennsylvania Railroad sets come in 1930s, late-1940s, and 1950s versions with a PB70 combine, three P70 coaches, and a Z74d business car, developed with the Pennsylvania Railroad Historical Society. Sets are also offered for Chesapeake & Ohio, Chessie Steam Special, Canadian National, Northern Pacific in the Loewy two-tone green, and a Christmas scheme.
Single combines ($59.99) cover PRR PB70s in all three eras plus Santa Fe, B&O, CN, C&O, Chessie Steam Special, Norfolk & Western, Northern Pacific, Christmas, and unlettered Pullman green. Single business cars ($79.99) include six PRR Z74d cars from 1935 to 1965, among them #7504 “Quaker City” and #120, plus CSX, Santa Fe, CN, C&O, Chessie Steam Special, N&W, New York Central, NP, Southern Pacific, Union Pacific, Christmas, and Pullman green versions with balloon and clerestory roofs.
The cars have ABS bodies and chassis, detailed and lighted interiors with touch-control lighting, separately applied handrails and antennas, operating sprung diaphragms, Pullman 2411 trucks, and Micro-Trains-compatible knuckle couplers. The business cars add controllable LEDs for the observation platform, front marker lights, and rear track lights. The cars run on code 55, 70, and 80 rail with a 9.75-inch minimum radius.
