Kato (Japan) has announced an N scale E131-800 series Senseki Line 4-car set (item 10-1948). The newly tooled body covers JR East’s Sendai–Ishinomaki Senseki local EMU with the non-through cab front, rounded door windows, and roof ATACS antennas that set the 800-ban apart from earlier E131s, finished in the blue and light-blue Senseki band inherited from the line’s 205 series.
Features include Sendai Vehicle Center Miyagino outstation N1 formation detailing, printed one-man cameras/door switches/ATACS ID, head/tail lights with granular tail lamps (white LED), a slotless motor, body-mount close-coupling on intermediate cars with dummy couplers on the ends, factory “local Senseki Line” destination boards plus spares, destination stickers, and DCC-friendly design. Optional LED interior lighting kits are #11-211/#11-212. Suggested ship date is October 2026.
This May international batch also brought newly tooled 211-1000/3000 Takasaki Line / Tohoku Main Line 5-car basic, add-on, and attached sets (10-1853/1854/1855, ship late September 2026) and JR Shikoku 2000/N2000 limited-express packs (Ashizuri, Uwakai, Uzushio; ship October 2026). The E131-800 Senseki 4-car is the lead subject here.
