Kato USA has announced a new round of N scale Amtrak single-level cars covering Amfleet I and II plus matching Viewliner equipment. The N-only lineup includes Amfleet I Phase III and Phase VII 4-car bookcase sets, Amfleet II Phase III and Phase VII 2-car coach sets, a Viewliner I Phase VII 2-car sleeper set, Viewliner II baggage cars, and a limited-edition Amfleet I 7-car “all phases” Heritage bookcase set.
Features include detailed interiors ready for optional LED lighting kits (#11-211/#11-212), prototype-accurate paint and lettering, free-rolling trucks, and Kato semi-automatic knuckle couplers. Phase VII cars use Amtrak’s newest dual-blue scheme with service-level accent colors.
Expected delivery is approximately September 2026. Pre-order through Kato dealers.
