Atlas has announced new paint schemes and road numbers for its Master N Alco C-630 in the Summer 2026 catalog.
Conrail ex-Reading (#6762, #6764) is a new paint scheme. Canadian National (#2003, #2005, #2007), Reading (#5309, #5310), and Southern Pacific (#3147, #3151, #3153) return with new road numbers. Chesapeake & Ohio (#2100, #2101, #2102, #2103) and Reading #5308 are back by popular demand with updated features.
Features include an improved wheel profile, Micro-Trains 1015-style couplers, correct Alco Hi-Ad or MLW Dofasco trucks where appropriate, golden-white LEDs, painted safety rails, directional lighting, and blackened metal wheels. Silver units are Sound Ready with a speaker for conversion to DCC sound; Gold units include an ESU LokSound decoder. MSRP is $159.95 for Silver and $279.95 for Gold.
Alco’s 3,000 hp C-630 entered production in 1965, adding a GE AC traction alternator, a roomier modified cab, and a large aftercooler radiator housing above the roofline, with 133 built for U.S. and Canadian railroads through the late 1960s.
